Description: Recent research has demonstrated that a large number of chemicals from pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) have been found in the nation’s waterways. This workshop will provide an overview of the state of the science on emerging contaminants focusing on what is known and not known, threats to drinking water and wildlife, and how regulatory agencies are approaching the issue.
Cost: There is no charge to attend but registration is required.
Audience: Municipal and county officials, wastewater committees, planning and health boards, conservation commissions, finance committees, DPW directors, engineers, and environmental groups.
