Teachers on the Estuary: The Wampanoag Circle of Life

Wampanoag WetuLearn about salt marsh and estuary ecology through hands on field and classroom activities, trade book literature, small group work, discussions, and mini presentations by content experts. Teachers will learn how to use the Cape Cod coast to help their students learn about animal and plant life cycles and adaptations as well as weather and coastal processes. Join us to explore estuary/salt marsh, kettle pond, forest, garden, and river habitats.

Course content and activities align with grade 3-5
Next Generation Science Standards and Massachusetts State Science Technology and Engineering, and Social Studies Standards.

Cost is $25, includes lunches and at least $25 worth of books and equipment for those who successfully complete course.

Optional graduate credit is available from Framingham State College (FSU) for $150.00 for the two credit course. PDPs will be available for free through the Mashpee Public Schools.
